ENAI WG Centre for Academic Integrity is thrilled to announce the launch of its groundbreaking AI Ethics Lab, a pioneering initiative dedicated to advancing responsible and ethical artificial intelligence. This milestone effort aligns seamlessly with the UAE's visionary blueprint for AI and reflects the nation’s commitment to innovation driven by accountability, transparency, and inclusivity.

The official unveiling was led by Prof. Nadir Kheir, a distinguished academic at both ECAIU and Ajman University, and Dr. Stephen Wilkinson, Director of Research at the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD). They were joined by Soumya Prajna, Head of Marketing and Communication at HELP AG, and Maryam Zia, an accomplished alumna from G42, alongside ECAIU’s Founding President, Dr. Zeenath Reza Khan, who has been instrumental in shaping the lab's mission and vision.

The AI Ethics Lab is designed to address critical concerns in AI development, including bias mitigation, enhancing transparency, and fostering accountability. In addition to creating frameworks that can be adopted by academics and organizations worldwide, the lab will focus on education and training initiatives to prepare future AI professionals to innovate responsibly.

“We are deeply honored to contribute to the UAE's strategic goals for AI integration and ethical governance,” said Dr. Zeenath Reza Khan. “Our lab embodies a commitment to advancing a sustainable and ethical digital future while solidifying the UAE's leadership in AI innovation and education.”

This initiative has garnered international support, including an endorsement from the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI), further emphasizing the global significance of ECAIU's efforts.

The AI Ethics Lab aims to establish itself as a hub for collaborative research, knowledge exchange, and practical solutions that advance the field of ethical AI. From shaping policies to training the next generation of AI leaders, this initiative is poised to create a lasting impact.
